Andy Westbrooks and Hank Fisher are bringing home hardware for the Milan Track Program’s trophy case. Both competed in the Class A State Track Meet on Tuesday, winning their respective events, and making history for the Bulldogs.
Andy Westbrooks defended his 2022 State Title in the High Jump with a leap of 6 feet, 6 inches on his first jump to make it a back to back run for the Senior. It was a perfect ending for Westbrooks who now will turn his attention to UT Martin where he will continue his athletic career as a Punter/Kicker for the football team, and continue as a high jumper for the Track team.
Meanwhile, in the shot put, Hank Fisher became the 3rd ever boys individual State Champion in Milan Track history with a throw of 148 feet, 3 inches. Fisher is the first Shot Put Champion for the Bulldogs since Jeff Smith in 1981 and finishes what he started last season when he finished 3rd.
