Sometimes, its just not meant to be. That’s the feeling around the Peabody Baseball program after a 9-4 loss to Eagleville ended the Golden Tide’s season on Thursday. Facing elimination, Peabody was unable to overcome an early 6-1 deficit in the season ending defeat. The Golden Tide’s brilliant 34-5 campaign concludes after winning both the District 14A and Region 7A Titles for the 2nd straight year, capped with a second straight Class 1A State Tournament Appearance and a Mr. Baseball Finalist in Owen Lee.
