Madison Academic’s Mitzi Castro came up just short in bid to become the Class A Singles Tennis State Champion on Friday. Making a run to the title game, Castro ran into 2-time reigning champion Ellison Reynoldson of Camden, who demonstrated her pedigree by claiming her 3rd straight title in a 2-0 victory. Despite the loss, Castro’s run continues the tradition of a continually improving Madison Academic Tennis program that has now been represented in 3 straight State Tournaments.
