With the resignation of Head Softball Coach Blake Burke in May, the Lexington Softball Program knew they would have big shoes to fill, and they believe, they have just the man for the job. Lexington announced Tuesday morning that they had hired Jackson South Side Head Softball Coach Mason Taylor to be their new head coach, as well as join the football program as an assistant. Taylor has plenty of experiencing coaching on both the gridiron and the diamond at several stops already including Green Hills in Mt. Juliet, McNairy Central, and most recently his alma mater of Jackson South Side. He will look to continue the success of a Lexington program that has reached the 3A State Championship Game the past 3 seasons and 6 of the last 10.
