MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin department of athletics and Office of Alumni Affairs are collaborating for the Skyhawk Caravan initiative, which will roll across the 731 area code over the next six weeks.
The fan appreciation tour starts this Thursday, July 13 with a stop at Ace’s Pizza in Paris. The Skyhawk Caravan will also visit The Blacksmith Restaurant in Dyersburg on July 20, The Blacksmith Restaurant in Jackson on Aug. 10 and Blue Oak Oyster Bar and Grill in Martin on Aug. 14. Tickets for each event are $10 apiece and will include light food options.
The Skyhawk Caravan program will be hosted by the “Voice of the Skyhawks” Chris Brinkley as guests will include Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Kurt McGuffin, head football coach Jason Simpson, head women’s basketball coach Kevin McMillan, head men’s basketball coach Ryan Ridder, head volleyball/beach volleyball coach Jaclynn Wilson and head golf coach Austin Swafford. UT Martin’s spirit squads will also be in attendance.
Each Skyhawk Caravan program will begin with a meet-and-greet session at 5:30 p.m. before the event formally begins at 6 p.m. McGuffin and the UT Martin head coaches will share fun stories, insights and participate in a Q&A session, moderated by Brinkley.
