BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin was responsible for 124 mentions on the 2022-23 Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, which was released this morning.
To earn a spot on the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have achieved at least a 3.25 Grade Point Average, have been eligible and on the team throughout the competitive season in their chosen NCAA-sponsored sport(s) and used a season of competition.
The 124 Skyhawks to receive this award marks the 11th time in the last 12 years that UT Martin has produced at least 100 OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll winners. Since joining the league in 1992, a grand total of 2,745 Skyhawks have been spotlighted as OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll recipients.
On an individual basis, Logan Wallick (beach volleyball) and Paige Pipkin (women’s basketball) each received their fifth career OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll award. Wallick also accumulated her fourth career award in volleyball while Tyler Anderson (equestrian), Kayla Carrell (beach volleyball/volleyball), Maria Castaldo (soccer), Nick Fares (rifle), Catey Hunt (soccer), Baylor Jones (baseball), Haley Kane (equestrian), Bryson Morrell (golf), Haeleigh Paulino (beach volleyball/volleyball), George Payne (men’s cross country/track and field), Kallie Pickens (softball), Keely Seiter (equestrian) and Jacob Uehlein (golf) additionally compiled their fourth career OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll accolade.
The UT Martin equestrian program boasted the most winners amongst all Skyhawk programs with 15 recipients. The UT Martin soccer (13), baseball (12), beach volleyball (10) and men’s track and field (10) squads also generated double-digit honorees.
Overall, the OVC garnered 1,396 student-athletes on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll list for the 2022-23 campaign. It was previously announced on Friday that the Skyhawks accounted for 23 OVC Academic Medal of Honor student-athletes who recorded unblemished 4.0 GPA’s.
