JACKSON, Tenn. – The Union University baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2023 season.
The ABCA recognized over 750 high school and collegiate programs from across the country with the 2022-23 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award. Teams from every level of college and high school baseball were honored with this year’s award, which highlights programs coached by ABCA members that posted a team GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2022-23 academic year.
Over 300 high school programs and more than 450 collegiate programs were recognized with this year’s award.
Union Baseball is ramping up for another season of baseball at Fesmire Field. Union will open up the spring season in Georgia against Young Harris College (February 4th, 2024). Baseball will return to Fesmire Field to face Lane College in their home opener on February 6th, 2024 (4 p.m.).
