Union City volleyball will look to get back into the win column Monday night at Ripley after dropping a 3-0 decision to Gibson County Thursday in its home opener.
Now 1-3 on the season, the Lady Tornadoes lost 25-15, 25-21, and 25-10 to the Pioneers.
Debrionna Jones had five blocks and four kills for UC in the varsity match. Gracelyn Sims was good for five blocks, too.
GC also came out on top in the jayvee competition, 25-18 and 25-19.
Cricket Washburn had four service aces and two kills, while Alyssia Davis accounted for three aces. Rylee Stone had a pair of kills, and Ca’Lae Ervin recorded two aces.
