– Playing in their first road game of the season, the Tigers jumped on the Indians early and never looked back as they improved to 5-0. Carter Smith threw for 248 yards and a score through the air and on the ground while Jake Saunders added 101 yards on the ground and another score. Hardin County is 5-0 for the 3rd time in 4 years.

Haywood 64, Obion County 57

– In the Game of the Season so far, the Tomcats outlasted the previously unbeaten Rebels in an epic shootout. 121 points and 1,126 combined yards of offense (885 on the ground) between the two teams gave the crowd in Troy a show they won’t soon forget. Obion County battled back from an early 15 point hole to tie the game early in the 4th quarter, before the teams traded scores down the stretch. The Rebels would take a 57-56 lead with 2:43 to play on a Hamilton May TD run and 2-point conversion, but the Tomcats responded with Cam Miller’s 3rd TD run of the night for what would be the winning score with 22 seconds left. The Rebels did drive to the Tomcat 3 yard line with 3 seconds to play, but were turned away as time expired.

Henry County 63, Hunters Lane 12

– The Patriots rebounded from last week’s narrow loss to Brentwood but steamrolling the visiting Warriors. Hunters Lane kept it interesting for much of the 1st quarter, but 42 straight Henry County points put the game away for good. Caden Marshall threw for 150 yards and 3 TDs, while adding another on the ground to lead Henry County.

Huntingdon 35, Crockett County 7
