MARTIN, Tenn. – Preseason preparations for the University of Tennessee at Martin women’s basketball team got underway this afternoon with the start of the 2023-24 official practice calendar in the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center.
The seven-time Ohio Valley Conference regular season champions open their campaign in 41 days when traveling to Big East foe Marquette in the season opener on Monday, Nov. 6.
The Skyhawks boast six returners – including four players with starting experience – with the return of Sydney Boykin, Anaya Brown, Shae Littleford, Kenley McCarn, Lexi Rubel and Josie Storey. Meanwhile, the squad welcomes 10 newcomers to the team with the addition of Amari Bonds, Morgan Borgstadt, Norah Clark, Ally Collett, Kiya Dorroh, Kendal George, Love Mays, Mah Minthe, Tori Rubel and Sophie Singleton.
This season marks the 15th season for head coach Kevin McMillan. During that span, the Skyhawks have won 265 games, six league titles and four tournament crowns.
