MARTIN, Tenn. – With six consecutive wins on the schedule, the University of Tennessee at Martin football program saw its national ranking climb once again in the latest polls. The Skyhawks now rank No. 13 in the AFCA Coaches’ Poll and No. 14 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 to mark the program’s fifth straight week in the Top 25.

The Skyhawks (6-1, 3-0 Big South-OVC) are one of nine FCS teams without a loss against a subdivision foe this season. While South Dakota State is the lone unbeaten at 7-0 nationally, the Skyhawks are one of eight teams who have only lost to an FBS opponent, joining Delaware, Florida A&M, Furman, Lafayette, North Carolina Central, South Dakota and IUW while facing the second toughest strength of schedule so far this season.

UT Martin ranks in the top-25 nationally in 12 different team categories and 13 individual categories. The squad sits among the nation’s top 10 teams in blocked kicks allowed (zero, first), blocked punts allowed (zero, first), winning percentage (85.7 percent, second), rushing offense (246.4 ypg, fifth), net punting (42.39, fifth), rushing defense (84.6 ypg, sixth), team tackles for loss (7.6, seventh) and total offense (442.4 ypg, 10th).
