JACKSON, Tenn. – Freshman Men’s Golfer Trace Robinson was awarded Golfer of the Week and Freshman of the Week by the Gulf South Conference on Thursday.
Robinson led Union to a sixth-place finish at the Citrus Intercollegiate, played at the Champions Gate Golf Club. The freshman carded a 218 2-over-par in the two-day 54-hole event to finish in a tie at 16th on the individual leaderboard. He shot a 73 in round one to open play, before registering a 71 in the second, and a 74 in the final round. He also collected 8 birdies during the tournament.
Last week Union received votes to crack the top 25 in the national rankings. Robinson and his teammates, led by Andy Rushing, will look to build off their fall success on
February 19th in Dade City, Florida (Saint Leo University Invitational).
