
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Fifth-year standout goalie Rylee Iorio receives Second Team All-GSC honors following her record-shattering 2023 regular season.
Iorio, a 5-foot-6 graduate student, has spent her entire career at Union University. Rylee has collected impressive career numbers during her time as a Lady Bulldog and is the current career saves record holder, passing Laura Play at 296 saves. This season Iorio has played 1,378 minutes in the net for the Lady Bulldogs, accumulating five shutouts and 81 saves. She averages 1.306 goals against per match for the 2023 season.
In her career, Iorio has spent over 4,000 minutes (52 games) in the net for Union. She has a career total of 299 saves, 9 shutouts, and a .799 save percentage. Iorio and her squad are not done just yet though, as they will take on the Montevallo Falcons in game one of the GSC tournament in Montevallo, Alabama. This match will be held at 5 p.m.
Union enters the tournament as the 5th seed (Montevallo 4th seed) for a chance to move on to play the winner of the University of West Florida and the University of West Alabama on November 9th in Huntsville, Alabama.
