Union Men’s Basketball Falls To Milligan In Preseason Exhibition

JACKSON, Tenn. – Union Bulldogs drop an exhibition matchup versus Milligan University in heart breaking fashion. The game ended with a final score of 91-90.

Ahmad Johnson scored 8 straight points to start the game for the Bulldogs and ended the matchup with 20 points. Isaiah Victor, along with Johnson, lit it up from the floor in the first half scoring 10 points. Following a slow first half, Justin Debuck and Jeremiah Littlepage caught fire scoring 11 points and 8 points in the second half for Union.

For Miligan, it was the Follie Bogan show. Bogan scored 35 points against the Bulldogs, including a go ahead basket that would prove to be the winning shot with 9 seconds left on the clock.

Union’s Jeremiah Littlepage was inches away from hitting a buzzer beater to defeat the Buffaloes following an inbound with 1.2 seconds left on the clock.

Union’s season will officially begin on November 10 in Rome, Georgia. Union is competing in the South Region Crossover Classic and will face Tuskegee University and Lane College in the event. Union will return home on November 21 to face Purdue University Northwest.
