
MONTEVALLO, Ala. – On Nov. 4, the Union University men’s cross-country team posted an 11th place finish at the NCAA D2 South Region Championships with a time of 2:47:11. The 10k event took place at the UM Campus Cross Country Course in Montevallo, Ala., and featured 16 teams, including #11 Lee University, #25 Alabama-Huntsville, and #28 Mississippi College.
Union was led by Tristan Kelly in 46th with a time of 32:22.60. Caleb Cook finished 61st (33:07.20), Ryan Keeton 64th (33:17.10), Micah Winn 71st (33:35.30), Benjamin Blackwood 92nd (34:49.60), Jonathan Litscher 98th (35:14.70), and Riley Garrison 108th (36:29.80).
This was the final race of the fall season for the Bulldogs. Their best finishes were in the Rhodes College Invitational and Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival where they placed third and fourth respectively. The team also ran the fourth best 8k time in Union history at the Alabama in Huntsville Charger Invite (2:12:00).
