– In a wild back and forth affair, Hardin County kept its perfect season alive and survived White House’s upset bid. Carter Smith’s rushing touchdown late in the 4th quarter was just enough to lift the Tigers into the 2nd round. Smith threw for a TD and 176 passing yards in the win, while Jacob Saunders rushed for 89 yards and 2 TDs. Hardin County hosts Marshall County next Friday.

Henry County 35, Memphis Central 14
– The Patriots raced out to a 35-0 lead and never looked back in a convincing first round win. Caden Marshall racked up 228 total yards (93 passing/135 rushing) and 2 total TDs in the rout. James Bobbit added 98 yards and another score to the Henry County cause. Henry County will host Hendersonville next Friday.

Jackson Christian 37, Ezell-Harding 7
MASE 52, South Fulton 14
– Brady McFarland and Dallas Whitehead each rushed for a score, but 277 rushing yards for the Phoenix doomed the Red Devils. South Fulton’s season ends at 6-5, while MASE moves on the host Union City.
Marshall County 52, Jackson North Side 18
– North Side used the big play to make this a game for a half scoring on 83, 80 and 69 yard touchdowns. A 23-18 halftime lead for Marshall County was built on in the 3rd quarter due to North Side mistakes, and the Tigers were on their way to outscore the Indians 29-0 in the 2nd half. Marshall County advances to round two and will be on the road in Savannah to take on Hardin County next week
McKenzie 31, Cornersville 14
Melrose 49, Obion County 6
– Melrose overwhelmed the Rebels early and often to avenge last year’s opening round defeat. Kweli Purifoy’s 52 yard touchdown run was the lone bright spot for Obion County as their season ended at 6-5. Melrose moves on to host Dyer County.

Milan 40, Lewis County 6
– Milan dominanted wire to wire, leaving Hohenwald with a dominant win. Lewis County could manage just 110 total yards on the night, while the Bulldogs posted 445 in a well-balanced effort. Jaydon Peete rushed for 136 yards and 1 TD, while Taco Jackson added 85 more and another score. Will Johnson threw 2 TD passes on 118 yards as well. Milan now travels to Huntingdon next Friday, looking to avenge a 32-14 loss on September 22.

– The Golden Tornadoes emphatically dispatched their Memphis visitors behind their trademark rushing attack, and a swarming defense. Keaten Brown and Jacob Arnold both rushed for 3 scores, and the Union City defense picked off Longhorn QB Jordan Irvin 3 times on the night, consistently giving the Golden Tornadoes short fields. Union City travels to MASE next Friday night.
