JACKSON, Tenn. – Union’s freshman forward Parker Applegate earned GSC Freshman of the Week honors for his performances versus Purdue University Northwest and Mississippi College. Applegate is the second Bulldog to earn GSC Freshman of the Week, joining teammate Jordan Pyke.
The 6-foot-8 freshman forward shot 3 of 5 this week for a .600 shooting percentage. Applegate can also shoot the three-ball, connecting on one of his two three-point attempts this past week. He tallied 10 points, 10 total rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks, and 1 steal combined this past week. On the season Applegate is averaging 6 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game. Parker recorded his first double-double in the lost to Delta State last night, recording 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Up next for Applegate and the Bulldog’s is a game versus Lindsey Wilson College on November 30th before resuming GSC play on December 3rd in Carrolton, Georgia.
