JACKSON, Tenn. – Trailing by one point with 2.5 seconds remaining, the Dragons inbounded the ball at half court to freshman Dyani Bernstine who took the ball at the top of the key and drove the lane. Just before the buzzer went off, Bernstine let a floater go that touched iron twice before dropping in dramatic fashion to give the Dragons the win.

The hosts had just surrendered the lead on the previous possession when they fouled the Wildcats and sent them to the line in a tie game. The visitors hit one of the two foul shots as Lane called a timeout and advanced the ball, setting up the game-winning score.

Brailyn Tate led the Dragons in the conference win with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Breonna Carey added nine points.

Lane will travel to Mississippi this Saturday, December 9th, to take on Blue Mountain. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
