4 Union Volleyball Players Earn Academic All-District Honors

JACKSON, Tenn. – Hope HarringtonGracie TackerReese Owens, and Marie Torosian of the Union University women’s volleyball program earn Academic All-District Honors, voted by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

The 2023 Academic All-District Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes Volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Hope Harrington, a Junior middle blocker, appeared in 110 sets this season for the Lady Bulldogs. Hope recorded 127 kills, 58 digs, and 22 aces. Harrington also collected 54 total blocks this season.

Gracie Tacker, a Junior setter, appeared in 123 sets this season for Coach Blackburn’s squad. Gracie recorded 554 assists, 153 digs, 29 kills, and 38 aces.

Reese Owens, a Junior outside hitter, appeared in 99 sets for Union this past season. Reese recorded 223 kills, 244 digs, 17 assists, and 30 aces.

Marie Torosian, a Sophomore outside hitter/defensive specialist, appeared in 81 sets for the Lady Bulldogs. Marie recorded 144 kills, 132 digs, 11 assists, and 20 aces.
