
JACKSON, Tenn. – On Jan. 2, the Union University men’s basketball team beat the Auburn University Montgomery 90-84. With the win, Union’s record improves to 7-5 overall (4-4 GSC), and AUM’s record falls to 5-8 overall (2-7 GSC).
Jordan Pyke led in points with 20, but Jeremiah Littlepage and Devaki Garr followed close behind with 18 and 19, respectively. Garr’s 19 points were a season high for him. He also recorded a personal season high in assists with six, the most of any Bulldog in the game.
Union led 35-32 at halftime and added 55 points in the second half to beat the Warhawks. The Bulldogs shot 50 percent (29-58) from the field, 30.8 percent (8-26) from 3-point range, and 70.6 percent (24-34) from the free throw line.
Travis Anderson led AUM with 21 points. The Warhawks shot 37.8 percent (31-82) from the field, 29.2 percent (7-24) from behind the arc, and 78.9 percent (15-19) from the free throw line.
