ACKSON, Tenn. – Darrell Johnson had his biggest game of the year when the stage was the brightest, leading Lane to victory over rival LeMoyne-Owen.

In front of a capacity crowd inside JF Lane Gymnasium, Johnson registered a double-double, scoring 25 points on 11-of-17 shooting and pulling in 12 rebounds.

Trailing by one point with 2:33 to go in the game, the senior forward drilled back-to-back three pointers to give Lane a lead that they would not surrender.

Ragi Phillips would put the game on ice, making four free throws in the final seconds to put the game away.

Phillips ended with 10 points and seven rebounds while Chancellor Wright added 10 points off the bench for the hosts.

Lane will be at home again on Monday night, January 29th, when they face SIAC West foe Central State. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM.
