Union Men’s Basketball Can’t Hold Off Christian Brothers In Narrow Setback

JACKSON, Tenn. – Christian Brothers University completes second half come back to defeat Union by a score of 83-77.

Union’s record drops to 10-10 overall (7-9 GSC) while Christian Brothers’ record improves to 11-8 overall (9-7 GSC).

In the first half of action, Union outscored CBU 45-33. CBU rallied back into the game in the second half by outscoring the Bulldogs 50-32. CBU shot at a 43.8% clip from the floor and out-rebounded Union 53-39. CBU found success on the offensive glass with 17 offensive boards compared to Union’s nine.

Jailen Anderson led all scorers with 18 points for CBU. For Union, Isaiah Victor led the team with 16 points. Victor knocked down four three-pointers in the loss. Ahmad Johnson led the Bulldogs in rebounds with nine. Jeremiah Littlepage collected three blocks for Union, tying a season-high.

Union’s will return to the court on February 8th in Pensacola, Fla. for a conference matchup with the University of West Florida.
