Union Baseball Falls To Henderson State In Midweek Action

JACKSON, Tenn. – Union traveled to Arkadelphis, Ark. for a midweek tilt with Henderson State University. The Bulldogs dropped the Tuesday evening matchup 8-2.

Union scored two runs on four hits and two errors. Henderson State scored eight runs on eight hits and an error. Mitch Sisk had a solid day at the dish for the Bulldogs, collecting his first double of the season. Carson Chavies collected his fourth run batted in on the season with a single in the third inning. Grant Ross walked in the fifth inning, bringing in Union’s second run. Dyllon Barrett doubled for his first extra-base hit of the season.

Lane Evans started the game on the mound for the Bulldogs, allowing a run in two innings pitched. Evans collected three strikeouts in the outing. Noah Toney pitched two innings, striking three batters without allowing an earned run. Jamal Allen pitched the ninth inning of the ballgame, striking out one batter.
