JACKSON, Tenn. – Union University’s Olivia Lee has been named the Gulf South Conference Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week for the week ending Feb. 11. This is Lee’s third freshman of the week honor this season.
Lee, a 5-foot-11 guard from Jackson, Tenn., helped No. 7/15 Union to a 1-1 finish this week. On Feb. 8 at the University of West Florida, she had 17 points, one steal, one block, one assist, and seven rebounds, while shooting 60 percent (6-10) from the field, 50 percent (3-6) from three-point range, and 66.7 percent (2-3) from the free throw line. On Feb. 10 at Valdosta State University, Lee collected four points, all of which came from free throws. She also had two steals, one assist, and five rebounds.
