JACKSON, Tenn. – The Lane College baseball team opened their home schedule on Thursday when they hosted Lynn University.
The high-scoring affair saw the Dragons take a 9-8 lead into the 7th inning, but the home bullpen could not close the door as Lynn would plate four runs in the 8th and another two in the 9th to seal the victory.

With conference play opening this weekend, head coach Donny Crawford preserved his arms, throwing seven different pitchers to setup Lane’s pitching rotation as they head to South Carolina to take on Benedict.
Perez enters conference play with a .500 batting average in 16 at-bats. He also has a team high four doubles and four RBI to go along with one home run.

Lane will play a doubleheader on Saturday in Columbia, SC beginning at noon EST followed by a single game on Sunday starting at 1:00 PM.
