BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin will be represented by women’s standout Andreika Jackson as part of the annual Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Legends program.

Jackson will be recognized through video board recognition, public address announcements and a game program feature story during the 2024 OVC Basketball Championships, which will take place on March 6-9 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.

A Decatur, Ga. native, Jackson was a three-time All-OVC performer from 2003-07 – earning first team, second team and All-Freshman accolades. She is the only player in Skyhawk women’s basketball history to accumulate at least 1,000 points, 700 rebounds, 150 assists, 100 steals and 400 free throws made.

Jackson still ranks in the top-10 in school history in scoring (1,377 points), rebounds (720) and free throws made (417). She posted averages of 13.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per outing while shooting 53.7 percent from the floor over 105 career games, playing for head coaches Gary and Kim Van Atta and Tara Tansil-Gentry. Jackson was inducted into the UT Martin Athletics Hall of Fame in the Class of 2022.

The OVC began its tradition of recognizing men’s and women’s basketball legends from each of its member institutions in 2015. Jackson is the ninth Skyhawk representative in the program, joining DeWayne “Pooh” Powell (2023), Tansil-Gentry (2022), Mike Meschede (2020), Pat Head Summitt (2019), Jared Newson (2018), Jasmine Newsome (2017), Lester Hudson (2016) and Heather Butler (2015).
