
ACKSON, Tenn. – The Lane College softball team hosted their first Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series this week with Miles College.
After dropping game one of the series 1-0 in extra innings, the Dragons bounced back to win the next two games, 8-3 and 4-2.
Jersey Cabana (6-2) pitched 15.1 innings during the series, allowing just one earned run while striking out 19 batters.
Autumn Phillips (3-3) picked up the win in game two, throwing 6.2 innings while striking out four batters and allowing three runs.
Jullianna Saint Hilaire led the way at the plate, going 4-for-9 with a triple and two RBI. Kaylee Stinnett finished the series 3-for-9 with three RBI, a double, and two walks.
Lane will travel to Hoover, Alabama next week to compete in the SIAC Crossover. The Dragons will play each team from the East Division beginning with Benedict and Albany State on Tuesday, March 12th. The event will take place at the Hoover Met Complex.
