Lane Softball Earns Series Win Over Kentucky State

JACKSON, Tenn.  Jersey Cabana threw two complete games as the Lane College softball team earned a series win over SIAC divisional rival Kentucky State at the West Tennessee Sportsplex.

After earning a complete game win in game one of the series, Cabana (10-3) went the distance again in the rubber game of the three game tilt, allowing no runs on one hit and striking out five batters. For the series, the sophomore from San Dimas, Calif. threw 12.0 innings, giving up one run on four hits with 15 strikeouts.

Jullianna Saint Hilaire led the way at the plate for the Dragons, going 6-for-9 with five RBI, three runs, and two stolen bases.

Joslyn Soinila was 4-for-7 with two RBI while Penelope Foote was 5-for-9 with three runs scored.

Lane (20-7, 10-3 SIAC) will travel to Lebanon, Tenn. on Wednesday, March 27th, for a doubleheader with Cumberland University.
