JACKSON, Tenn. – Union’s JJ Zimmer has been named the Gulf South Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for the week of Mar. 20-26. Trace Robinson has been awarded the GSC Men’s Golf Freshman of the Week for the week of Mar. 20-26. This is Zimmer’s first award this season and Robinson’s sixth award total and fifth Freshman of the Week award.
This week in the Tennessee River Rumble hosted by Lincoln Memorial University, Zimmer finished T5 with teammate Gray Campbell and LMU’s George Durkan. Zimmer shot a three-round total of 215 (73, 71, 71).
Robinson finished T63 in the Tennessee River Rumble. He shot a three-round total of 229 (70, 73, 86).
Up next for Zimmer, Robinson, and the Bulldogs is the Gulf South Conference Championships in Valdosta, Ga., at the Kinderlou Forrest Golf Club April 21-23.
