HENDERSON, Tenn. — After leading his alma mater to success on the court, Collin McPherson has announced he will not be returning as head boys basketball coach at Chester County High School.
McPherson has led the Eagles on the sidelines for the past three seasons, taking Chester County to the Class 3A state tournament for the first time since 1958. During his time as head coach, McPherson helped the Eagles claim one region title (2023) and one district title (2024).
McPherson graduated from Chester County in 2015, playing basketball, baseball, and golf during his high school days. He then went on to play baseball at the collegiate level, spending time at Jackson State CC and Freed Hardeman. McPherson will still remain on staff throughout the school year as an assistant baseball coach at Chester County.
The Chester County athletic department will begin their search for a new boys basketball coach immediately.
