JACKSON, Tenn. – The Lane College softball team closed out their home schedule on Monday as they hosted Oakwood University at the West Tennessee Sportsplex.
Game Notes
- Lane swept the DH, winning Game 1 by a score of 4-0 and edging the Ambassadors in Game 2, 7-6; Lane is now 25-9 for the season
- Ariana Battle led the way for the Dragons, going 4-for-4 with a triple, two runs, and two RBI
- Aspyn Beattie was 3-for-4 with two RBI and five stolen bases
- Kaylee Stinnett had a team-high three RBI on three hits including a home run
- Jersey Cabana (13-4) recorded her 13th complete game of the season, shutting out Oakwood in Game 1 while striking out five batters
- Autumn Phillips (8-4) got the win in Game 2; Phillips pitched 3.2 innings and allowed two earned runs
- Jonni Sanchez pitched 3.1 innings of relief, striking out four batters
- The Dragons stole 14 bases over the two games
- Lane will travel to Memphis for a series with LeMoyne-Owen this weekend; games will be played at USA Stadium in Millington
