JACKSON, Tenn. – With the game tied 8-8 in the bottom of the 11th inning, Pollito Perez delivered a bases loaded single to plate Cody Kirkland and give the Dragons a win over Christian Brothers University.

Game Notes

• Lane held a 5-1 lead entering the 6th inning; CBU then scored six runs over the next three innings to take a 7-5 lead into the bottom of the 9th inning
• Seth Shannon doubled in the 9th, scoring Anu McCabe who had singled in the previous at-bat
• A single moved the tying run to third when Walton Thompson executed a squeeze bunt to tie the game and send it to extra innings
• After the Bucs scored one in the 10th, Dakotah Danner singled to left field in the home half of the inning, bringing home Ty Benniefield to tie the game again
• Lane held CBU scoreless in the top of the 11th and Perez registered an RBI single to win the game
• The win gives Lane 18 on the season, the most the program has seen since 2019 when the Dragons won 21 games (current school record)
