
MARTIN, Tenn. – Andrija Bukumirović, who played for University of Tennessee at Martin head men’s basketball coach Jeremy Shulman at Eastern Florida State College last season, has signed with the Skyhawks for the 2024-25 campaign.
“I’m so excited to welcome Andrija to the Skyhawk family,” Shulman said. “He is one of the toughest, hardest working guys anywhere. He has so much talent and upside – he will be phenomenal here at UT Martin.”
Bukumirović, a 6-7, 200-pound wing, was a major contributor to a Titans program that won the Citrus Conference championship with a 27-5 overall record (14-2 mark against conference competition) under Shulman in 2023-24. He earned all-conference second team honors as a true freshman, recording 9.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in 32 contests (two starts). He shot a sizzling 59.1 percent (120-for-203) from the floor to rank fourth in Region 8, including a 39.1 percent clip (18-of-46) from beyond the three-point arc. He upped his averages to 10.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per outing in 16 conference games, connecting on 42.4 percent (14-for-33) of his attempts from three-point range.
The Sjenica, Serbia native reached double figures in the scoring column 16 times, including four 20-plus point performances. Bukumirović went off for career-highs of 25 points (on 11-of-16 shooting) and 16 rebounds against Daytona Elite Academy on Nov. 20 and was responsible for 24 points (on 10-for-14 shooting) at Daytona State College on Jan. 20. He drilled a career-high three trifectas and made 6-of-7 free throws as part of a 21-point outing at Santa Fe College on Jan. 13 while also swishing a trio of three-pointers (shooting 8-for-12 overall) on the way to 20 points and 10 rebounds against St. Petersburg College on Feb. 10. He produced five double-doubles and snared double-digit rebounds on eight separate occasions. Defensively, he boasted five multi-steal performances, including a career-high five swipes at Indian River State College on Feb. 17. He was also a defensive presence at the rim, producing five multi-block efforts.
Bukumirović attended Gimnazija Novi Pazar in Serbia, where he made a name for himself as an elite international recruit.
