“I’m honored to be named the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at South Gibson County High School. After spending some time with the leadership team at South Gibson throughout this process, I left with an understanding of what makes this community special. My wife and I have been praying for an opportunity like this, and we are thrilled to join the Hornet family. I’m forever thankful for the relationships I’ve built at JCS over these last five years. While it’s hard to say goodbye, the chance to lead the Hornets’ basketball program is a tremendous opportunity. I’m thankful to Mr. Dunn and Principal Rogers for entrusting this program to me and I could not be more excited to get to work”- Drew Pirtle.

“We are excited to welcome Coach Pirtle and his wife, Andrea, to our Hornet family! Coach Pirtle brings a great energy and work ethic that we know will help take the program to the next level. His strong faith and values will make him a perfect fit here at SGC!”- Mark Dunn, Athletic Director at South Gibson County High School.
