MILAN, Tenn. — After leading the Bulldogs to another appearance in Murfreesboro, Greg Scott has announced that he will be stepping away as head coach of the Milan High School baseball program.

Since taking over in 2021, Scott has produced winning teams on the diamond, claiming district championships each year during that time frame. Scott was also responsible for making history within the program the past few seasons, taking Milan to back-to-back Class 2A state tournaments. The Bulldogs advanced to the state title game in 2023 and the state semifinals in 2024.

“The opportunity to continue the excellence established long ago with Bulldog Baseball is one that I hold as a high honor,” said Scott. “The success on the field we have experienced over the past three years should be a springboard into the future for the program and the 2025 team will bring back a ton of experience, especially on the mound. It has been a blessing to be able to build relationships with these young men and watch the hard work they put in turn into achieving their goals on the field.”

“For me personally, the Lord is calling me away from coaching baseball at Milan High School in this season of life and I am excited to see how He wants me to serve in both the near and distant future,” said Scott.
Moving forward, Scott will continue to serve within the Milan Special School District. Milan High School will begin their search for a new head baseball coach immediately.
