JACKSON, Tenn. – Six members from the 2023-24 Union University men’s golf team are playing in the 2024 Tennessee State Amateur Championship at the Tennessee National Golf Club in Loudon, Tennessee. Gray Campbell, Andrew Westmoreland, Trace Robinson, Timothy Pinkston, Daniel Maybee, and JJ Zimmer are all competing.
The event started Tuesday, June 11, and runs through Friday, June 14. There will be a cut after round two.
The 2023-24 season for the Union University men’s golf ended in the regional round of the NCAA D2 National Championships. Just one spot out of the top five and a trip to the final round of the national tournament entering the final day, Union missed advancing finishing 11th in the region tournament. Union posted a third-place finish in the Gulf South Conference Tournament and finished the season ranked No. 30 in the national stat rankings, eighth in the region.
