The Rockabillys picked up their second consecutive win as they took down the Thrillville Thrillbilles at home tonight by a score of 12-5.
The story of the game was undoubtedly the stellar play of Kaleb Hall, who had two monster home runs, three hits, and a whopping five RBIs on the night. Both of Hall’s homers came at opportune times for the Goats, as his first came in the bottom of the first after the Thrillbilles had already drawn first blood, and it allowed the Goats to take a 2-1 lead. His second came when the Thrillbilles had cut the Goats’ lead down to three runs in the seventh inning, but Hall stepped up and launched one over the Blue Monster in left field to extend the lead to 11-5. One more run was tacked on in the bottom of the eighth by Stan King, and that brought the game to its final tally of 12-5 in favor of the Goats.
The Rockabillys improve to 13-12 in the second half of the season and 30-22 overall with their second straight victory. They will look to make it three in a row when they hit the road to take on the Full Count Rhythm tomorrow at 7:05 PM CDT.
