
FLORENCE, Ala. – The Union University men’s cross country team posted a third place finish in the University of North Alabama Invitational. The 8K event featured nine teams with 81 runners 81 runners and took place at MacFarland Park.
Union’s Aaron Fynaardt, a sophomore from West Des Moines, Iowa, was the top Bulldog finisher in sixth place with a time of 25:05.
Division I school Jacksonvile State (Alabama) and North Alabama took first and second place. Union finished ahead of Gulf South Conferece foe West Florida’s fourth place finish.
Ryan Keeton (26:04) and Tristan Kelly (26:14) both posted top-20 finishes in the 16th and 19th spots respectively.
Noah Jinks finished 33rd (26:53), Jeb Hamilton 40th (27:31), Riley Garrison 43rd (27:50), Luke Winkleman 44th (28:01), Caleb Cook 45th (28:04), Kaden Mosely 55th (29:01), Jonathan Litscher 56th (29:06), Stewart Brown 57th (29:07), Benjamin Blackwood 61st (29:27), Kaydan Patterson 65th (30:00), William Craig 67th (30:16), and Garrett Robison 71st (30:50).
Up next for Union will be a race in Memphis September 21 at Shelby Farms hosted by Rhodes College.
