JACKSON, Tenn. – On Sep. 20, the Union University volleyball team took a 3-1 (25-14, 20-25, 25-20, 25-19) road win over the University of Arkansas at Monticello. With their victory, the Lady Bulldogs improve to 2-7 overall, while Arkansas Monticello drops to 4-6 overall.
Marie Torosian led Union in kills with 13, followed closely by Reese Owens with 12 and Vanja Stefanovic with 11. Torosian also had a .300 hitting percentage, the highest on the team in the match. Hope Harrington led in blocks with three. Ashley Pruitt topped the assists category with 41, and Dylan Tolliver had the most digs with 22. Owens, Stefanovic, and Pruitt each had three aces.
Up next, the Lady Bulldogs will play their GSC opener in which they will face Trevecca Nazarene University in Fred DeLay Gymnasium on Sep. 24 at 6:00 p.m.
