Union Women’s Cross Country Finishes 7th At Rhodes College Cross Country Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Union University women’s cross country team posted a seventh-place finish at the Rhodes College Cross Country Invitational. The 6K event took place at Shelby Farms and featured 19 teams and 172 runners.

Victoria Markham led the way for Union with a sixth-place finish in a time of 23:35. Taylor Benoit of Mississippi College won the race with a time of 22:37. Addi Aguayo also posted a top 20 finish in 16th place with a time of 24:19.

The top three teams included Arkansas State in first, Southeastern Oklahoma second, and Memphis third. Union’s seventh-place finish was one spot behind Gulf South Conference foe Mississippi College, and ahead of conference foes Trevecca Nazarene (10th), Christian Brothers (12th), and Delta State 16th.

Mary Scott Tritt was the third highest Lady Bulldog finisher in 26th place with a time of 24:35. Ayla Young finished 62nd (25:42), Mila Bunton 66th (25:59), Cami Haas 74th (26:14), Sophie Crisler 133rd (29:46), and Heidi Munday 134th (29:53).

Up next for Union will be the Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky. October 5.
