
JACKSON, Tenn. – On Sep. 24, the Union University volleyball team faced Trevecca Nazarene University at home in the 2024 Gulf South Conference opener. The Lady Bulldogs fought hard but ultimately lost 3-1 (27-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-17). With the loss, Union is now 2-8 overall (0-1 GSC), while Trevecca improves to 4-8 overall (1-0 GSC).
Reese Owens led the Lady Bulldogs in both kills and blocks with 15 and three, respectively. She also had two aces, one behind Marie Torosian, who led in that category with three. Ashley Pruitt collected the most assists with 39, and Dylan Tolliver led in digs with 19.
Up next, Union will travel to Pensacola, Fla., to face the University of West Florida on Sep. 27 at 6:00 p.m.
