PENSACOLA, Fla. – On Sep. 27, the Union University volleyball team lost to the University of West Florida 0-3 (15-25, 12-25, 14-25). West Florida, who has received votes from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) to be in the top-25 poll, improves to 7-5 overall (2-0 GSC), while Union falls to 2-9 overall (0-2 GSC).
Reese Owens led Union in kills, aces, and digs with seven, one, and 12, respectively. Vanja Stefanovic and Jordan Moore had two blocks apiece to lead the team, and Ashley Pruitt topped the assist category with 21.
With Sep. 28’s match against Valdosta State being postponed, up next for the Lady Bulldogs is a home matchup against Lee University on Oct. 1 at 5:00 p.m.
