
COLUMBIA, Mo.– Pitted up against some of the best college cross country teams in America, the University of Tennessee at Martin was able to set several personal records at the Gans Creek Classic.
The men’s team combined for a 25th place finish while the women’s team had three athletes put forth a strong fight to the finish.
Sam Shuman led the Skyhawks in the 8k with a time of 24:43.8, while Keagan Enicks set a new PR of 24:46.1. Luke Johnson (25:02.9), Angus Monro (25:05.8) and Brady Millikin (25:09.3, PR) also ran strong against the field.
On the women’s side, Maggie Roy nabbed a personal best with a 22:21.8 to lead UT Martin in the 6k. Reese Settle had a PR with a time of 22.24.2 and Danielle Mudd (23:07.4) competed well for a talented Skyhawk team.
UT Martin will be back on the course Friday, Oct. 18 at the Angel Mounds Invitational in Evansville, Ind.
