UT Martin Football Moves Up Time Of Saturday’s Homecoming Game

MARTIN, Tenn. – University of Tennessee at Martin Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Kurt McGuffin has announced that the Skyhawk football game against Gardner-Webb this Saturday, Oct. 5 has been pushed up to 1 p.m. at Hardy Graham Stadium.

All morning/early afternoon Homecoming festivities on campus will start earlier than originally scheduled. The Rotoract Phi Eta Sigma SGA Can Sculpture Contest in The Quad will now take place from 8-10 a.m. while the 18th Annual UTM Football Alumni Gathering in the Bob Carroll Building will begin at 9 a.m. Quad City and the Skyhawk Walk through The Quad will start at 10 a.m. while the BAC Tailgate will follow at 11 a.m.

“Gardner-Webb’s administration approached us with concerns caused by flooding from Hurricane Helene,” McGuffin said. “We want to accommodate our Big South-OVC members and be good partners as they have to significantly change their travel plans from North Carolina to Martin.”

The BAC Reception in the Bob Carroll Building remains at 5 p.m. while the Homecoming Step Show (7 p.m., Skyhawk Fieldhouse) and BAC Alumni After Party (9 p.m., Ava Manor) will stay as scheduled.
