JACKSON, Tenn. – On Oct. 4, the Union University volleyball team won against Auburn University Montgomery 3-1 (26-24, 25-15, 12-25, 26-24). The victory was Union’s second straight, improving their overall record to 4-10 (2-3 GSC). AUM’s record dropped to 4-9 overall (1-3 GSC).
Marie Torosian led the team in aces with four and tied Reese Owens for the most digs with 16. She also added nine kills, while Owens had the most in that category with 15. Ashley Pruitt led in assists with 46, and Jordan Moore had the most blocks with six.
Up next, the Lady Bulldogs will play at home on Oct. 10 at 6:00 p.m. against the University of Alabama in Huntsville, which has received votes from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) to be in the top 25 this season.
