LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Union women’s cross country took 16th place of 24 teams on Saturday in the Blue group of the Louisville Cross Country Classic.
The Lady Bulldogs were paced by Victoria Markham’s 19:07 35th-place finish. The sophomore has led Union’s finishers in all three races this season.
Charlotte won the event with a time of 1:32:49 (18:33), led by individual winner Natalia Martin’s 18:08.
Along with Markham, Union’s counting times came from Addi Aguayo (19:53 – 78th), Mary Scott Tritt (19:58 – 84th), Ayla Young (20:35 – 106th) and Mia Bunton (21:13 – 131st).
Cami Haas (21:58 – 149th) and Sophie Crisler (23:17 – 163rd) also ran for the Lady Bulldogs. Freshmen Bunton and Crisler both set collegiate-best 5k times.
Next for Union is the Watson Collegiate Classic, hosted by Mississippi College on Friday, October 18. The GSC Championships will take place on October 26.
