Union Volleyball Drops Home Match With Montevallo

JACKSON, Tenn. – On Oct. 11, the Union University volleyball team finished their homestand in a match against the University of Montevallo. The Lady Bulldogs lost the first two sets (20-25, 18-25) and won the third set in thrilling fashion (26-24) before falling in the fourth set (17-25). With the loss, Union’s overall record drops to 4-12 overall (2-5 GSC), while the Falcons’ overall record improves to 7-10 overall (4-3 GSC).

Reese Owens had 10 kills, the most for Union in the match. Jordan Moore and Hope Harrington followed close behind with nine and seven, respectively. Moore also led in blocks with two, and Harrington led in aces with three. Ashley Pruitt topped the team in assists with 28, and Dylan Tolliver had the most digs with 18.

Up next, Union will travel to Livingston, Ala., to face the University of West Alabama on Oct. 18 at 6:00 p.m.
