
CLINTON, Miss. – On Oct. 18, the Union University men’s cross-country team finished fourth at the Watson Collegiate Classic hosted by Mississippi College on the Choctaw Trails. This 8k race featured 21 teams and 100 runners.
Union’s Aaron Fynaardt placed 11th with a time of 25:23.10. Tristan Kelly also cracked the top 20, finishing 17th with a time of 25:41.10. Other Union runners included Ryan Keeton (25:48.50 – 21st), Noah Jinks (26:43.70 – 58th), Joseph Hamilton (27:04.00 – 73rd), Caleb Cook (27:16.50 – 82nd), Stewart Brown (27:33.90 – 91st), and Benjamin Blackwood (27:38.20 – 96th).
TAMU-Commerce won the meet, followed by Mississippi College in second, Mobile in third, and UT-Dallas in fifth to round out the top five. Mississippi College’s Braedon Methvin finished first with a time of 24:37.00.
Up next, the Bulldogs will look to build on their success as they return to Clinton, Miss., for the Gulf South Conference Championships on Oct. 26.
