DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference unveiled its equestrian Riders of the Week today as the University of Tennessee at Martin squad boasted three of the four recipients in Elizabeth Becker (fences), Bridget Vieau (flat) and Elise Mason (reining).

The Skyhawks have now earned six ECAC weekly honorees in 2024-25 as the above three join the Oct. 8 trio of Gabby Adams (flat), Lexi Bailey (horsemanship) and Logan Putvinski (reining).

The collective group of Becker, Vieau and Mason helped UT Martin to a weekend split, starting with a convincing 16-4 victory over ECAC rival UC Davis before falling 12-7 to No. 5 Oklahoma State. This announcement marks the second career ECAC weekly award for Becker (who also won on Nov. 20, 2023) and first for both Vieau and Mason.

Becker went a perfect 2-0 with a MOP medal in fences over the weekend, averaging a strong tally of 85 points per ride. Her career-high 86-point effort came on Saturday against Oklahoma State, defeating her counterpart by five points. The senior from Grosse Pointe, Mich. brought home her first MOP of the season with an 84-point performance against UC Davis, again besting her competitor by a margin of five points for her team-best third win in that event in 2024-25.

A graduate out of Syracuse, NY, Vieau went off for a career-best tally of 94 points against Oklahoma State. That was good enough for her first triumph and first MOP recognition of the season as her score cleared her opponent by a full 10 points. She also tacked on 71 points against UC Davis for an average score of 82.5 points on the weekend.

Mason put together a 2-0 weekend courtesy of an average score of 70.3 points per ride. She started with a 70.5-point effort against UC Davis, winning by 1.5 points over her counterpart. The sophomore from Olympia, Wash. came back the following day with 70 points over Oklahoma State, edging out her head-to-head competitor by a half-point for her third victory of the early season.

The Skyhawks are back at it on Saturday, Oct. 26 when they host No. 1 Auburn at 10 a.m. in the Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex.
