
MACON, Ga. – The Lane College cross country teams competed in the 2024 Cricket SIAC Cross Country Championship this week as the Dragons produced their best finish in conference history.
The men’s team finished 9th overall after finishing 12th last year.
Freshman Benedick Kipchirchir was the top finisher for the men with a time of 28:35, the best SIAC finish in school history.
The men also finished with the fastest total time in program history with a total time of 2:43:45. The previous best 2:55:36 set in 2017.
Freshman Dyniah Davis had the best time on the women’s side with a season best and personal record of 25:41.10 which placed her 49th out of 90 runners.
